Spent the evening with Amber and Daniel yesterday at Applebee's! Hmm, good food. :-) We had a great time hanging out and just talking. Then I worked with the kids today. We went to the pool and I got in because it was 101 degrees outside, even though I didn't have my swimming trunks with me. I just got out early and dried off. I finally got ahold of Mike and Dana and gave them sketch directions to my house from Nashville. I could not believe they were actually going to come down for just the evening, but it was a blast! Beforehand, I picked up my last check from Walgreen's and deposited it into Savings @ the Wal-Mart Monet Center(Suntrust). I continued out to pick up baking potatoes, salad, and French bread for dinner since Dana and Mike needed food whilst mother picked up some KFC chicken for the crew.
Dana and Mike made it here safe and sound after I had run up the road to try and flag them down because I wasn't sure if they'd spot my little gravel road. I was out of breath when Mike called my cell and he said they had just turned down a gravel road and I said "Uh-oh" and looked up (not seeing them at first and trying to imagine what gravel road they might've turned on, but discovered:) they were driving right towards me while I was bent over and out of breath. They gave me a 'lift' back down the road to my house. We went in and Malinda, Dana, Mike and I all ate a healthy dinner (Mike devouring his meal and I don't blame him)! It was great! We talked, laughed, and made jokes. They talked about getting married and plans they had etc. (JUNE 3RD 2006 TN! Honeymoon in San Diego!) Malinda had to leave around 11PM Eastern time. Dana and Mike hung around for while after that and left at 12:30AM this morning (eastern time). I phrase the time zone because they're on Central Time and will gain an hour going back! Plus we had an interesting discussion about how I actually live right on the Central/Eastern time zone line. To the North it's Central, down the "mountain" it's Eastern!
Goodnight all! To good friends and the times we share together, it is precious and rewarding. For it is your friends who will be there in your rejoicing and support you in your grieving.
